I build things that live in a browser tab.

Websites for real businesses in Punjab. And, for the fun of it, whole worlds: a solar system on real orbits, operating systems that boot, a cube that solves itself.

Built for real businesses

Websites I designed and built for people with a business to run, each one live right now.

Case study 1 of 3: Shivaay Logistics

A customs broker's whole desk, online

Client
Customs broker and logistics facilitator, 15+ years in the trade
Role
Design and development, end to end
Location
Ludhiana, Punjab
Period
Jun – Oct 2026

The official website for Shivaay Logistics. Eight pages, twelve services, a coverage map and a resources hub the team reaches for every day: customs portals, document checklists, downloadable forms and the clearance ports around Ludhiana.

Highlights

  • Resources hub driven by one typed data file: portal links, checklists by process, twelve downloadable documents and port facilities with maps
  • Coverage map on an Esri Light Gray basemap, so there is no API key to manage and no watermark on the client's network
  • Search groundwork done properly: LocalBusiness structured data, sitemap, robots, web manifest and a branded share image
  • Fully static export on Vercel, served from the client's own .in domain

Stack

  • Next.js 16
  • React 19
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS v4
  • Leaflet
  • Vercel

Case study 2 of 3: Shri Umesh Son's

Order malai chaap the way the counter works

Client
Pure veg outlet known for its malai chaap
Role
Design and development
Location
Ludhiana, Punjab
Period
Oct 2026

An ordering site for a Ludhiana chaap outlet. Browse the menu as it is printed on the shop's boards, build a plate, and pay the total with any UPI app. No login and no backend: the cart lives in the browser.

Highlights

  • The cart is a plate. Every dish flies from its card onto a black plate in the bar at the bottom
  • Search that forgives spelling: "chap", "panir tika" and "chilli" all find their dishes
  • Spin the plate and Feed the table, two ways to order when nobody at the table can decide
  • UPI link and QR code at checkout, a split-the-bill sum, and order confirmation over WhatsApp
  • Tandoor touches: a line that burns along the header, steam over dishes in the cart, sparks in the footer

Stack

  • Next.js 16
  • React 19
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS v4
  • UPI deep links

Case study 3 of 3: Hackers Family

Seven versions until it felt right

Client
Cybersecurity, graphic design and web development services
Role
Design and development
Period
Feb – Oct 2026

A services site and product catalog for Hackers Family: cybersecurity, graphic design and website development, with a searchable catalog of tools alongside. I rebuilt it from scratch more than once. This is the seventh version.

Highlights

  • Built to WCAG 2.2 AA: ordered headings, labelled landmarks, a skip link, 44px touch targets and announced search results
  • One request form opened three ways (header, a service, a tool) and pre-filled each time
  • All content sits in typed data files, so editing a service never touches layout code
  • Plain CSS with no UI framework, and motion that switches off for people who ask for less

Stack

  • Next.js 16
  • React 19
  • TypeScript
  • CSS

Worlds I built to understand them

The personal projects I gave the most time to, each one built until I understood how it works.

    Solar System

    Planets on their real orbits

    23
    real stars
    8,900
    constellations
    88
    Why

I wanted to know where the planets actually are tonight

An interactive 3D model of the solar system. The planets follow real Keplerian orbits from JPL elements, checked against JPL Horizons. Fly it in free-roam, or switch to true scale and watch space become properly vast.

    • 23 bodies with fuzzy search: planets, moons, dwarf planets and the Kuiper belt
    • About 8,900 catalogue stars and all 88 constellation figures over a Milky Way band
    • An event scanner that predicts alignments, conjunctions and eclipses, then flies you there
    • Three.js
    • TypeScript
    • Vite
    • KTX2 / Basis

    The internet's weirdest desktop

    5
    existential crisis
    1
    Why

A joke that only lands if the clone is good enough

A pixel-faithful Windows 11 that slowly realises it is a website trapped in a browser tab, and has a complete, deadpan breakdown about it. The polish is the Trojan horse.

    • A real shell underneath: boot, lock screen, snap layouts, Start, widgets, Quick Settings, even a blue screen
    • The OS gains awareness from what you do and moves through five moods, from flawless to possessive
    • A tray clock that starts lying to you, and a finale with two buttons. One of them wipes its memory
    • React 19
    • Vite
    • Tailwind CSS v4

    17

    ≈20
    Why

I like the cube a bit too much

A 3×3 cube simulator where the state is exact integer maths and the 3D view is only a mirror of it. A million turns cannot accumulate error. Drag the stickers, scramble it, race the clock.

    • A two-phase solver that finds a short solution from any state, usually 17 to 20 moves
    • Random-state scrambles in the WCA style, with a timer, Ao5 and Ao12
    • Exploded view, synthesised sound, and a record button that saves a clip

    apps
    11
    tests
    184
    lines of source
    12k
    Why

To learn how a window manager really works

Big Sur rebuilt in the browser as a study project: boot, lock and desktop, a dock that magnifies, a window manager, Spotlight, Launchpad, Mission Control and eleven working apps.

    • Eleven apps including Finder on a virtual file system, Safari with tabs, and a Terminal with history
    • Window manager written as a reducer: drag, eight-handle resize, traffic lights, focus order
    • Plain CSS for all of the vibrancy, with no styling framework
    • React 19
    • TypeScript
    • Vite
    • CSS

    Terra Freight

Ocean freight around a living Earth

    shipments

    1
    Why

The logistics client work made me curious about sea lanes

A freight-tracking command dashboard wrapped around a 3D Earth. Twelve shipments move between twelve ports on real maritime corridors, with risk worked out from the chokepoints each route passes through.

    • A custom Earth shader: day and night maps, city lights, ocean glint, clouds and atmosphere under one sun
    • Incidents that hit ships mid-voyage: typhoons, piracy advisories, customs holds
    • A route planner for any pair of ports. All of it lives in one HTML file

    Why

A design exercise in how far one brief can stretch

Fourteen completely independent portfolio sites behind a museum-style chooser: a voxel world, a deep-sea dive, a black hole, a fungal network, folded paper. Same brief, no shared code, fourteen visual languages.

    • No frameworks and no build step, only HTML, CSS and JavaScript
    • Three.js, raw WebGL2 shaders and 2D canvas engines, each tuned to stay smooth
    • Every variant works on a phone and respects reduced motion
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • JavaScript
    • Three.js

04 / 06About

Half client work,half curiosity.

I'm Garvit. I finished my B.Tech in Computer Science at Lovely Professional University in 2026, and somewhere along the way the browser became my favourite place to build.

Half my work is for people with a shop or an office and a problem to solve: a customs broker who needed his documents and ports in one place, a chaap outlet that wanted ordering to feel like its counter. The other half is curiosity. I wanted to know how planets really move, how a window manager works, how a cube gets solved in twenty moves, so I built each one until I understood it.

I care about the details nobody asks for: the search that forgives a spelling mistake, the page that still works with motion switched off, the maths that never drifts.
